Since people always seem to have trouble figuring out what to say I thought I would give you this handy form. Consider it a starting point. Delete things you don’t want to answer, add things you want that I missed. Let us get to know you.

(and do us all a favor and change the subject line, to "Introducing _____" it makes it easier to find later and thread the comments.)

Ha! Jrock fans can be hard to come by. Especially those with 'good taste'. XD

Several of us have dollfies, a lot of us play WoW and um... I don't have much else to say other than that I'm stuck at work and don't really want to be here. (Note, that the above applies to me as well.)  XD

Look forward to seeing you guys soon!

Of the 30+ costumes I've made for myself in the past eight years, only four were female.  Though one was on a technicality since most My Little Ponies are female.
Oddly enough, three other cosplays were male characters who were in drag [and I'm already working on a fourth in that same vein].

I'd love to attend dollfie meetups. I don't get to go out much with them anymore.

Ehh... I spend so much money on fabrics that I don't have it to get a dollfie...

... Though if I did, it would be a mini one <33 ; A; I'd make it super cute and call it Momo...

The minis run about $300+.
Mini Super Dollfies are easier on the wallet with a starting range of $200 [I have four of those].

But the best bang for the budget are the Obitsus.
They come about Barbie-sized, are made of plastic and vinyl, and are still fully customizable.
Plus you can easily dress them in store bought Barbie outfits or make clothes out of readily available fashion doll patterns.
Price range: $40.
[I own three of these]

Ehh, I prefer blank ones- ones I can make myself and paint the face on. I like making clothes rather than buying them- and it's a lot more fun... You can order them like that, right?

They would be cute additions to my collection + w+

Obitsus come in several forms.
You can buy blank faces, which I find perfect for anime characters since the nose and mouth are defined, but the eyes are non-existant in the sculpt.  These can come with either rooted hair, which is usually very long and straight, or bald.  In which case you purchase wigs [again, Barbie or fashion doll wigs].
You can sometimes purchase bald heads with elf ears, or buy kitty ears that can be added to the head.
And then there are Obitsu heads with hollowed out eyes that you can remove the top of the head and insert doll eyes.

Very rarely are these heads pre-painted.

And the bodies are fully jointed.
My only complaint has been that because they're plastic, some of the joints do squeak.

Hmm... I wonder if you could avoid the squeaking by readjusting the mechanics in them...

Hmm... I wonder if you could avoid the squeaking by readjusting the mechanics in them...

That would involve messing with the elastic that holds them together. You can suede them, and honstly mine don't squeak hardly if at all. I have 4 SDs, 3 MSD and 1 tiny.

There is a group in OKC that has meetups regularly, but it would be nice if there were enough of us to do it in town... and maybe I should move this to the dolfie discussion page? Cheesy
